Insomnia disorder is a common public health problem with prevalence of approximately 2-5% the population. It major importance to differentiate insomnia from isolated symptoms and normal variants, define secondary or associated conditions. was mainly classified as acute chronic based on 3 rd edition International Classification Sleep Disorders. Many models have been developed explain underlying mechanisms insomnia, such Drosophila model, cognitive psychobiological inhibition neurocognitive stimulus control hyperarousal model “3P model” (Spielman model). Optimizing environmental conditions, lifestyle changes elaborating triggering factors are first step in management disorders.
